The agreement will aid the company in delivering its sports betting content in Latin America.

Genius Sports Limited has teamed up with online sportsbook Betsul to expand its footprint in Brazil. The company will provide Betsul with its live streaming service and offer full flexibility for sportsbook operation.

The Latin American sportsbook will also have access to Genius Sports’ full suite of data-driven and outsourced solutions that include PreMatch, LiveTrading and Risk.

As part of the agreement, Genius Sports will offer its portfolio of Brazilian content through its existing partnerships with the English Premier League, Liga MX, the Argentine Primera División and Dimayor to Betsul sportsbook users. Genius Sports also has official partnerships with the Brazilian National Basketball League (LNB), Brazilian Volleyball Confederation (CBV) and Liga Nacional de Futsal.

Genius Sports Head of Commercial in LatAm Fernando Martinez said: “The Brazilian sports betting market is poised for explosive growth under a transparent and competitive regulatory system.

“We’re pleased to be playing a central role in powering Betsul’s offering, combining our leading Brazilian sports content, streaming services and live trading capabilities.”

Betsul CEO Fernando Rivas echoed Martinez’ sentiments regarding the new agreement.

He commented: “We are very pleased to have this new business partnership going live. Genius Sports has always been one of the great references in the betting market and we have great potential for growth together, especially in the Brazilian market.”

Brazil is currently seeking to regulate sports betting. Its Ministry of Economy is in the process of finalizing licensing criteria.

The country’s gross gambling revenue for the regulated market is estimated to reach $1bn by 2026, according to H2 Gambling Capital.
