Marks another step in the expansion of the European supplier across North America.

Kambi Group plc is poised to expand its reach in the Canadian market after it signed a mobile sportsbook agreement with Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment (MGE) in Ontario.

Kambi – the Europe-based provider with a globe-spanning reach – will supply the online sportsbook digital infrastructure for MGE’s Fallsview Casino brand in the province, which recently saw commercial gaming and single-event sports betting arrive in a much-hyped debut.

The deal struck is a multi-year one and, notably, will include an expansive ice hockey feature as well as Bet Builder capability. The sportsbook brand will be known as PlayFallsview.

MGE’s Fallsview Casino is the largest gaming destination in Canada. The online sportsbook will be the Uncasville, CT-based company’s first outside of the United States.

Kambi CEO and Co-Founder Kristian Nylén had the following to say on the deal: “The Canadian market, and Ontario in particular, is full of potential for Kambi and our partners, so I am pleased to have agreed this partnership with Mohegan and its Fallsview online mobile brand.

“I look forward to the combination of our industry-leading mobile sportsbook and the prominent Fallsview name as together we bring players in Ontario all the excitement of single and in-game wagering along with the unrivalled bet combinability our sportsbook offers.”

MGE struck a similarly upbeat tone. Said Mohegan Digital President Rich Roberts: “It’s an exciting time for the mobile gaming industry as sports betting continues to grow, and we’re thrilled to be entering into another partnership with Kambi Group plc with the launch of PlayFallsview online mobile sportsbook.

“Once launched, this will mark MGE’s first online mobile gaming product outside of the United States and we’re really looking forward to our partnership with Kambi Group on this new venture.”

The move is the latest in what has been a rapid expansion for Kambi across the continent. The supplier is now operational in 17 US states as well as Ontario, where it has been since the market went live on April 4.
