DraftKings unveils renderings for new sportsbook at TPC Scottsdale

These designs come after the project was approved on April 5.

A new sportsbook is coming to TPC Scottsdale, the home of the WM Phoenix Open, and will be operated by DraftKings.

Developed through a partnership between the sports betting giant and the PGA Tour, new renderings of the project have been released following its approval on April 5.

Located directly opposite the clubhouse of TPC Scottsdale’s Stadium Course, the sportsbook will include 3,400 square feet of video walls, screens, an outdoor area and fire pits.

Approximately 40 sports betting kiosks and 7 ticket windows will be available come launch, allowing players to wager on a number of sports. Bettors will also have access to a slew of amenities, including a bar and restaurant.

“When DraftKings became the first Official Betting Operator of the PGA TOUR last summer, a number of possibilities opened up to innovate together,” said Ezra Kucharz, Chief Business Officer at DraftKings.

Seating will be available for 390 guests, with additional room for standing customers. To bet, visitors will have to be 21 years of age and older, however, younger guests can visit without placing wagers.

These renders come a year after sports betting was authorized in Arizona. Since launch, the hunger for sports betting throughout the state has been strong. Undoubtedly, this retail sportsbook will go some way to further satiate this want.

Earlier this month, Arizona became the eighth state to clear $500m in a single month of betting. Indeed, despite its relative infancy, Arizona’s sports betting market is already making waves in the industry. Joining just eight other states, the region surpassed $500m worth of bets in a single month, with a $563.7m handle in January.
