Trade show will take place at Marina Bay Sands in late August.

Organizers of the Global Gaming Expo Asia on Friday released changes to both the site and the dates of G2E Asia 2022.

Per a notation on the show’s website, the event will be held at the Marina Bay Sands August 24 to 26. This replaces the previously announced trade event, which had been scheduled to take place at The Venetian Macao from August 30 to September 1.

No press release had been issued as of 11 am EDT Friday explaining why the conference changed locations and was moved up by a week, but G2E Asia organizers have had to make several changes to their shows in recent years due to the worldwide pandemic.

In August 2020, all G2E Asia events for that year were postponed into 2021.

Then, in May 202, organizers said the traditional May meeting date would be pushed back to November of that year to allow exhibitors and attendees more time to plan for their participation in light of continued Covid-related commercial and travel restrictions. They added G2E Asia 2021 would be a “smaller and more personal experience for attendees to focus on networking and exploring new products in core gaming and integrated resorts.”

G2E Asia is one of the largest international gaming trade shows and conferences for the Asian gaming industry. Organized by the American Gaming Association (AGA) and Reed Exhibitions (RX), G2E Asia made its debut in 2007.

The American Gaming Association is a national trade group representing the $261bn US casino industry, which supports 1.8 million jobs nationwide. AGA members include commercial and tribal casino operators, gaming suppliers and other entities affiliated with the gaming industry.

Reed Exhibitions says it has enjoyed four decades of rapid growth as a professional event organizer in China. RXGC (RX Greater China) comprises multiple member companies and joint ventures, with approximately 500 employees, serving 12 industries. RXGC organizes some 70 events each year with more than 2 million square meters of total show floor space, bringing together more than 30,000 exhibitors and 1 million visitors from China and abroad.

In addition, RXGC has launched a series of online exhibitions, hybrid events and webinars since 2020, providing products showcase, business connections, insights sharing and knowledge learning.
