His promotion is part of a company strategy for entry into the New Jersey commercial market.

PlayStar has named industry veteran Jon Bowden as its Chief Marketing Officer ahead of its anticipated New Jersey launch date. His responsibilities will include focusing on improving the player experience and expanding the company’s brand into the US market.

More specifically, Bowden will spearhead the company’s launch strategy as it prepares for upcoming market entry into the Garden State.

Bowden steps into his new role with a decade of industry experience. He has held several marketing, senior branding and advertising positions during his career.

Prior to joining Playstar, Bowden worked for Entain, where he was the Brand Director for Gala. He also worked in the same position for the Foxy brand and oversaw its resurgence following a repositioning and rebrand.

PlayStar CEO Per Hellberg said: “Jon is one of the most experienced marketers in the industry and his appointment as PlayStar CMO will undoubtedly prove vital in our mission to disrupt the US market.

“The US market is ferociously competitive, so as a brand we need to be heard above the noise and ensure that we engage with players from day one. Jon certainly has what it takes to help us achieve this, and I look forward to working with him as we ready for launch in New Jersey and other regulated states.”

Bowden said he is excited about the opportunity and commented about the company’s future.

“PlayStar has something different to offer to the US market and those wanting to enjoy the fun and excitement of online casino,” he said. “I firmly believe that with its mission statement, incredible team and powerful USPs that PlayStar is set up for success and I am truly honored to play such an integral role in the launch of this new brand.”
