In an announcement by DraftKings, the company has added Jared Carrabis to its media talent group and the two will focus on providing baseball content including the new "Baseball is Dead" podcast.
This latest move by DraftKings,adds another content creator to its media portfolio. Carrabis joins DraftKings to create weekly baseball-focused podcasts that will then be featured on DraftKings' YouTube channel.
Two podcasts in total will be produced by DraftKings, one is the aforementioned "Baseball is Dead".,the other is the "Jared Carrabis Podcast" a self-titled podcast where Carrabis will focus on his favorite team, the Boston Red Sox.
The first of the two podcasts will be focused on Major League Baseball as a whole. Former MLB pitcher and Oakland Athletics analyst Dallas Braden will make frequent appearances on the show.
Carrabis noted his excitement to get started: "I am thrilled to bring my deep passion for baseball and sports betting to DraftKings."
Carrabis continued: "Not only do we share roots in Boston, but we also share the same vision to deliver exciting content to sports fans everywhere. I can’t wait for fans to see what we have planned for this year’s MLB season."
DraftKings Vice President of Programming Stacie McCollum said: "We’re thrilled to add Jared Carrabis to our growing portfolio of content creators. He brings credibility as a subject matter expert while striking an authentic tone that resonates with sports fans."
She continued: "We continue to expand the DraftKings content experience by building a platform for independent voices and emerging talent such as Carrabis."
In late April, DraftKings will debut a live VLOG on Tuesdays where fans and audience members can interact with Carrabis as he watches MLB games. Carrabis also plans to launch a wrestling-centric podcast in the spring of 2022.
Carrabis joins a list of media talent including Mike Golic Sr., Jessica Smetana, and the recently relaunched DraftKings podcast the "GM Shuffle" with Michael Lombardi and Femi Abebefe.
