The two companies join a long list in what has been a highly-anticipated debut.

News continues to stream in from Ontario as more commercial players become operational in what is the most populous province in Canada.

Live-casino supplier Evolution has entered the fray. The Swedish company – which maintains a market capitalization of $25bn – will provide services in Ontario for such industry luminaries as BetMGM, LeoVegas, Rush Street Interactive and theScore Bet.

According to Evolution Commercial Director, North America Jeff Millar: “This is another momentous launch for Evolution in Canada. We are really excited that licensed operators in Ontario will have access to our live dealer studios in Europe and therefore to our full portfolio of live streamed games.”

Another operator, too, has gone live in Ontario: 888, which (in part powered by Evolution Gaming technology) is now offering its 888casino, 888poker and 888sport platforms.

Said 888 SVP and Head of B2C Shai Tabibian, “Fans of sports, poker and casino will enjoy our diverse range of content and features, all enabled by our leading proprietary technology, and we look forward to rolling out new games and features for players to try over the coming months.”

Single-event sports betting and iGaming went live on April 4 in what is expected to be a watershed in regulated gaming in Canada.

There are no restrictions on the number of operators that can gain licenses in this province that pundits predict could be a bigger market even than New York State, which has thus far had the biggest debut in the United States.

As a result, these two operators join a slew of others that have already gone live, including FanDuel Group, Rush Street Interactive, Genius Sports, Bragg Gaming Group and Penn National Gaming.
