Morongo Casino unveils new poker and bingo rooms

April 1, 2022

New rooms follow an earlier, 2020 renovation at the destination.

Casino Morongo is updating, renovating and expanding: the casino in the vicinity of Palm Springs, California that is run by the Morongo Band of Mission Indians has opened new poker and bingo rooms.

These are both to be adorned with an up-to-date design aesthetic. In the poker room, there will be 20 separate tables on which players can compete, while the bingo room will have a 250-seat capacity.

The spaces will be completely integrated with the 27-story casino, resort and spa that are already there.

A grand opening celebration is due to occur over this weekend.

Among the unique features of the poker room are automatic shufflers on every table, the availability of table-side dining, and huge high-definition TV screens playing sports. Both Texas Hold’em and Omaha games will be available to play.

The new bingo hall will have electronic tables. It’s first game is scheduled on the evening of April 1.

The new rooms follow a 2020 expansion which reworked the furnishings and décor. The casino floor was also expanded to become one of the largest on the West Coast. In this process, all 310 of Morongo’s hotel rooms were redone.

With the renovation, the casino was able to add over 50 constructions jobs as well as scores of casino jobs for the expanded space. This adds to the 2,500 people already employed at the Palm Springs destination.

Morongo COO Richard St. Jean struck a sanguine tone in the announcement: “We’re thrilled to announce that bingo is back at Morongo, and cards are in the air in our new poker room. We’ve created two gorgeous new spaces for our poker and bingo players to enjoy, and we’re confident that these new accommodations will exceed our guests’ expectations for comfort and playability.”
