The long-time slot developer has set its sights on this ever-growing industry.

Pragmatic Play, a stalwart of the iGaming industry, is throwing its hat into the sports betting ring. Indeed, the company has today announced its intention to release a new sportsbook offering.

Designed by a team of industry veterans and executives, this new platform will allow players to bet on the English Premier League, NFL, NBA and ATP Tour.

Yossi Barzely, Chief Business Development Officer at Pragmatic Play, said: “The launch of our sportsbook marks an incredibly proud moment for Pragmatic Play.

“We are not shy of adding new verticals to our offering if we believe we can be a differentiator, and by entering the sports betting space we’re now able to offer a complete one-company solution for operators looking to establish themselves or progress to new heights.”

This sportsbook will join Pragmatic Play’s four other verticals; slots, live casino, bingo and virtual sports.

Gareth Crook, VP of Sportsbook at Pragmatic Play, added: “Our team has worked tirelessly over many months to build a product we feel highlights our aim of being the leading content provider within our sector. The addition of our sportsbook product is a further step along in our mission and we intend on adding a high quality and trustworthy product.

“We have an experienced and market-oriented team driving us forward and we’ve already had significant interest expressed in our Sportsbook from multiple markets.”

While the company is yet to announce exactly which jurisdictions players can access the Pragmatic Play sportsbook, the United States stands out as a key opportunity.
