D'Arrigo brings to the role extensive industry experience.

The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians (SMBMI) have appointed Daniel D’Arrigo as a new CFO. D’Arrigo brings to the role over two decades of experience in the world of finance as it relates to the gaming, leisure and hospitality industry.

Prior to coming to SMBMI, D’Arrigo served as Executive Vice President, CFO and Treasurer of MGM Resorts International. Tasked with overseeing financial matters for the company, he played a key role in that company’s successful acquisition of Mirage Resorts and the Mandalay Bay Resort Group.

SMBMI CEO Laurens Vosloo commented on the new CFO’s extensive history in the realm of finance: “As Chief Financial Officer, Dan will play a critical role in leading the Tribe’s fiscal strategy, growth and development.

“One of Dan’s greatest strengths is his credibility with the investment community and capital markets. We are very pleased that Dan is joining our team at a time when the Tribe is experiencing tremendous growth and has such great potential for new opportunities.”

D’Arrigo himself has expressed excitement at the new role: “I am extremely honored and humbled to be joining the San Manuel enterprise. The Tribe has achieved much success while also assembling a top-notch leadership team under Laurens’ direction.

“I look forward to working alongside such experienced colleagues and further positioning the enterprise for long term sustainable growth.”

D’Arrigo joins SMBMI’s operation as the California-based tribe is riding a wave of successes, the most glowing of which being the acquisition of the Palms Casino Resort. The move makes the SMBMI the first tribe to own a casino on the Las Vegas Strip.
