Julie Haddon is set to take a seat on FuboTV’s Board of Directors. Joining the sports media and live streaming company’s audit committee, the former NFL executive will begin work on the role immediately.
Haddon is an owner of National Women’s Soccer League side, the Chicago Red Stars, and has served as the SVP of global brand and consumer marketing for the NFL.
During her time with the NFL, Haddon made a concerted effort to increase representation at the company. To this end, she and her team set up the league’s first-ever LGBTQ+ group.
Concurrently, the newly appointed director worked to expand the league’s nascent sports betting offering in the US.
“Julie is an incredibly respected sports, media and tech business leader who has built global audiences for some of the world’s biggest leagues and brands,” said David Gandler, Co-Founder and CEO, FuboTV.
“I have no doubt Julie will bring a valuable perspective to FuboTV as we aim to transform the TV space for consumers while providing value to our shareholders. I’m looking forward to working closely with Julie and welcoming her to FuboTV’s board of directors.”
Haddon’s other endeavors include a stint at DreamWorks Animation, where she worked on the Shrek franchise, as well as a period with Disney at Blue Sky Studios.
“I am thrilled to join FuboTV’s board at such an exciting time in the company’s growth,” said Haddon.
“I am looking forward to working with David, the other members of Fubo’s board and its executive leadership team to help innovate, accelerate and activate the breadth of opportunities for fans to engage with sports and entertainment streaming content on FuboTV.”
FuboTV is currently moving to expand its offering into the gambling space via the Fubo Sportsbook brand.
