The partnership was announced in 2020 and has since seen a temporary sportsbook open in east St. Louis.

DraftKings and Casino Queen are set to unveil their new 6,000-square-foot retail sportsbook on March 29. This new property is the culmination of a two-year-long partnership and will see a DraftKings themed sportsbook open its doors at 200 Front St. along the Mississippi River.

Featuring 38 betting kiosks, bettors will be able to wager on both professional and collegiate sports. Moreover, the property will also include 31 high definition TVs and a 60-foot video wall, allowing visitors to view as much live sport as possible.

“With this comprehensive renovation, we are introducing a new era of sports betting, sports viewing and overall entertainment at DraftKings at Casino Queen,” said Terry Downey, president and CEO of Casino Queen Holding Company, Inc.

“Our relationship with DraftKings has allowed us to create an all-encompassing, state-of-the-art space that will continue to add to Illinois’ excitement for sports wagering.”

This new sportsbook was designed by JCJ Architecture, a firm with a heavy influence in the gaming industry. Recently, Gaming America spoke with JCJ to discuss their approach to architecture in gaming.

“It’s exciting to see our shared vision of bringing DraftKings’ innovative mobile app to life with an incredible in-person experience at the new DraftKings at Casino Queen Sportsbook,” said Michael Kibort, Sr. Director, Retail Sportsbooks at DraftKings.

“Through the amazing support of, and collaboration with, Casino Queen, we have created a premier destination for guests to enjoy for years to come.”
