She will also join its Board of Directors effective immediately.

XLMedia has appointed Caroline Ackroyd as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. Her role with the global digital performance publisher begins immediately.

Ackroyd will also step in as a member of the group’s Board of Directors.

The company had announced Ackroyd’s appointment to the board in November 2021, along with naming Rowan Ellis as Interim CFO.

Prior to stepping into the position, Ackroyd completed a six-month notice period.

She has worked in both the leisure and gaming sectors. Ackroyd has held several CFO positions in other companies prior to joining XLMedia, including Push Doctor and Jawwing Plc.

She served as the Director of Commercial Finance from 2014 to 2018 at Sky Betting and Gaming, was the Finance Director from 2012 to 2014 at Coral Interactive, and operated in several different finance roles at BSkyB from 2004 to 2012.

XLMedia CEO Stuart Simms said: "I am excited to welcome Caroline, a highly experienced CFO, to XLMedia's leadership team and board. Her deep understanding and intimate knowledge of our sector offers tangible value and insights, especially in light of the dramatic progress we are delivering in US sports."

Ackroyd said she is ready to begin her new role with the company and is excited about working with the team already in place.

"I am really pleased to be joining XLMedia and look forward to working with the team to build upon the strong foundations in place and to deliver the next exciting phase,” she said.

Interim CFO Rowan Ellis will assist Ackroyd during the transition. Ellis will then revert to his role as XLMedia’s financial consultant.
