Esports Entertainment Group (EEG) has appointed Damian Mathews as its Chief Financial Officer. Mathews is the current Chairman of the Audit Committee and a member of the company’s Board of Directors.
He will replace Dan Marks, effective April 2.
Mathews has a joint honors undergraduate degree in Economics and Politics from the University of Bristol in the UK and brings more than two decades of executive experience to his new position. Between 1994 and 2009, he has served in various capacities at ABN Amro, Royal Bank of Scotland, Credit Suisse First Boston and KPMG.
Prior to his work with EEG, Mathews functioned as Qatar and Abu Dhabi Investment Company’s CFO from 2014 to 2020 and held senior management positions with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia Group.

Mathews also said that he looks forward to helping the company achieve its long-term goals.
