He brings ten years of experience in the sports betting industry to Chalkboard.

Joe Holka will oversee the production and strategy of Chalkboard’s content, while also building relationships with content creators.

Chalkboard is a social messaging app used by sports bettors and fantasy sports players. The appointment of Holka as Chief Content Officer (CCO) is in hopes of making Chalkboard the “one-stop-shop for betting conversation.”

Chalkboard aims to provide bet tracking, score updates, and social interaction. Holka will be tasked with developing more programming and educational content for sports bettors. He’ll also aid content creators in monetizing their show within the Chalkboard platform.

Chalkboard CEO Ted Mauze said: "When I think of conversations around sports betting, Joe is one of the first people who comes to mind,'' he went on to say, “Joe knows exactly what type of content Chalkboard users value most and understands the effort it takes for content creators to grow their followers and revenue.”

Holka has over ten years of experience in sports betting and the fantasy sports industry. In 2014, he started his sports career as an ECHL hockey player. After two years, he moved from player to analyst, analyzing daily sports data at FantasyLabs. By 2019, Holka had started his own YouTube sports betting channel titled “The Joe Holka Show”.

In regards to his new position Holka said: "With the explosion of growth, we're seeing a wider variety of participants with varying levels of experience and needs. I'm thrilled to join the Chalkboard team and develop content that fuels user engagement and facilitates valuable conversation."
