International Gaming Standards Association reveals the 2022 Board of Directors

President Peter DeRaedt announced the new Board of Directors on Tuesday, March 8th, including the Chairman and Vice Chairman.

John English, Managing Director of Maxxsure, will serve as the Chairman of the International Gaming Standards Association. For the Vice Chairman position, Earle G. Hall of Axes.ai will take the mantle. 

Along with the Chairman and Vice Chairman, four members have been announced to the Board of Directors. These new members are: Syed Hussain, Chief Information Officer, Oregon Lottery; Bala Kuthyar, VP of Software Engineering, Light and Wonder;

Martin Pedak, Director of Technical Compliance Playtech; Nimish Purohit, Sr., Director of Technical Compliance at Aristocrat Gaming.

Regarding English, DeRaedt said: “We are very excited about the election of John English as our new chairman. John has been instrumental in developing regulations for the legalization of sports betting and online gaming throughout his career.”

“I am honored to join IGSA at such a pivotal moment in the evolution of the global gaming industry,” English stated. “Our industry is evolving rapidly with sports betting and online gaming legalization and legislation. The support, guidance and leadership to adapt to the ever-changing environment has been the hallmark of IGSA.”

He went on to say this about his fellow Board of Directors: “The IGSA Board of Directors will provide the necessary leadership to create, evolve and enhance standards to make our industry safer and more adaptable to an ever-increasing rate of change.”

In his closing statement, DeRaedt said: “The 2022 Board of Directors leadership aligns perfectly with our online gaming and sports betting strategy for the coming year,”

The previous Chairman for IGSA was Novomatic's Roman Czubak.
