The payments platform will provide options for the growing sports betting and affiliate markets in both states.

As sports betting continues to expand across the nation, bettors expect more payment options to facilitate their wagering needs. With that, Paysafe, a payments brand with a focus on iGaming, has expanded its offering into both Louisiana and Oregon.

Following this announcement, Paysafe will begin processing payments in the newly regulated state of Louisiana. Simultaneously, the brand will power a number of iGaming affiliate programs in the Bayou State.

To facilitate this, Paysafe will expand its partnership with both Caesars Entertainment and DraftKings, while continuing to work with WynnBet.

Zak Cutler, CEO of North America iGaming at Paysafe, is looking forward to the opportunities this expansion will bring.

“We’re proud to be supporting multiple operators in the new Louisiana mobile sports-betting market with two important pillars of their customer acquisition and ultimately revenue growth, payments and affiliate marketing.

“When our Oregon market entry is also factored in, we feel our position as the go-to iGaming partner for online payment solutions and the affiliate channel has never been stronger.”

Paysafe is also set to extend its offering into the Beaver State via a partnership with DraftKings. Presently, the sports betting giant is the official sportsbook provider of the Oregon Lottery.

Following this announcement, Paysafe offers sports betting payment options in 20 states and Washington DC.

Ahead of the big game on Sunday, which saw the LA Rams narrowly edge the Cincinnati Bengals to win the championship, Cutler spoke on just how important this event could be for sports betting.

He said: “The combination of New York with other newer regulated markets like Louisiana and Arizona, which launched in September, and the more than 20 other states that permit some form of sports betting, will ensure unprecedented betting volumes on America’s biggest annual sporting event.”

While complete betting numbers are yet to be fully released, Paysafe’s prediction looks to have come true, with sports betting playing a huge role in Super Bowl LVI.
