Talking Stick Resort becomes official casino of the WM Phoenix Open

The deal with the PGA Tour event will last three years.

Talking Stick Resort, a property operated by the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, has agreed a deal to become the official casino of the WM Phoenix Open. 

The terms of this agreement will see the property sponsor this famed event for a three-year period. The WM Phoenix open is a PGA Tour competition; the event teed off on February 7 and will run till the 13.  

"Talking Stick Resort has been involved with WM Phoenix Open for many years, its proximity to our property and the excitement it brings to the Valley, make it an attractive and obvious partnership," said Ramon Martinez, Director of Public Relations for Talking Stick Resort. 

"We are pleased that our relationship has continued to evolve and look forward to more success in the years to come."

The deal will see the property have a significant presence within the event’s fan zone, an area named the “Talking Stick Fan Zone.” Moreover, the resort will use its space to present a new advertisement entitled “Turn It On.” 

The WM Phoenix Open is one of the largest golf competitions in the country. The winner will receive a prize of $1.5m. Fondly named the Peoples Open by fans, the event has won Tournament of the Year with the PGA four times in the last seven years. 

Located in Scottsdale, Arizona, the Talking Stick Resort features over 900 slot machines, a number of restaurants, a spa and a concert space.
