The app will provide casino operators with direct interfaces and real-time data from slot machines.

Acres Manufacturing Company, a casino loyalty and technology developer, has launched the Foundation App Store. The company claims that this is the first casino management system to provide casinos with real-time data from slot machines and a direct interface to the credit meter on any slot machine.

It also enables casino operators to add their newest developer content through an open API and rapidly address evolving consumer interests. Developers will be able to provide applications for any slot machine or table game deploying Acres' Foundation casino management system technology.

"The Foundation App Store is a marketplace that enables casinos to select any application they want with the guarantee of security and compatibility," said Noah Acres of Acres Manufacturing.

Casinos that typically pay fees for also using competitive apps may have to purchase the same interface for each application they want to buy. Casinos would only pay for the cost of the application and not for the interface with the open API. In addition, the Foundation App Store allows for any app, regardless of whether it competes with present or future Acres apps.

Acres said these new features will also benefit users, as well as casino operators and developers.

"We are allowing any developer to create content for the Foundation platform by providing our standard API documentation,” he said. “This approach is beneficial to developers, casino operators and gaming customers as it will cultivate the newest technologies and content for consumers. We are confident the enhanced speed of deployment and broader variety of applications available on the platform will greatly enhance profits for casino operators."
