Marks further expansion of the Australian company's US footprint.

The global gaming operator PointsBet announced that its online casino product has gone live in West Virginia. This move comes on the heels of the launch of a mobile and sports betting platform, both of which came live in August 2021.

The Mountain State marks the third market in which the Australian gaming giant has unveiled its proprietary iGaming platform. The first two were Michigan, which came live in May 2021, and then New Jersey, which came live the following July.

Naturally, management at PointsBet is satisfied to be expanding on an already considerable footprint in the US. As Aaron O’Sullivan, Vice President of Online Casino Revenue, commented: “As PointsBet rapidly expands its presence across the US and the online casino market continues to surge in popularity, we are thrilled to be able to now offer an online casino experience to users in West Virginia.

“It has been our goal to deliver the best-in-class casino content to our users in all of the states where we are permitted to offer the service. We remain committed to its growth and PointBet’s position as the leader in the online casino market.”

Its online casino business has seen some improvements in recent months.

As Manjit Gombra Singh, President of Product and Technology, commented: “We’re quickly scaling our business and have now integrated Scientific Games’ platform to expand our premium content portfolio. We’re looking forward to expanding and refining our suite of products throughout the year to deliver more options for our users in PointsBet online casinos.”

The company’s mobile betting product has a much larger footprint in the US. It is currently active in Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Virginia, and, of course, West Virginia.
