Oklahoma’s Choctaw Casinos & Resorts has announced an expansive four-year partnership with ClubCorp Classic, an event held at ClubCorp’s Las Colinas Country Club in Irving, Texas.
The event will have its inaugural run on April 19-24 of this year and will see champions from the PGA Tour playing golf alongside celebrities from the worlds of sports and entertainment. There will also be an amateur event in which members of the country club will play alongside these VIPs.
The partnership is sure to increase the profile of Choctaw Casinos and Resorts across the region. It will bring to the event a slew of fan enhancements, promotional activations, and charitable efforts that will all serve to enhance the overall experience.
Owned and operated by the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma – which is already the third-largest Indian Nation in the country – the group has 10,000 employees.
Its profitability is a testament to the sound management displayed by the sovereign tribal government. In 2019, for instance, the organization was able to contribute $2.5bn to the Oklahoman economy.
Back in the Lone Star State, where the golf tournament will be happening, the group is excited to grow its name and reputation.
As Jamie Dillard, Senior Chief Executive Office for the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, commented: “We are thrilled to partner with the ClubCorp Classic and the PGA Tour Champions as both organizations share a culture centered around respect, innovation and entertainment.
“We look forward to connecting with both fans and players in fun and unique ways to not only help grow the event but to maximize the charitable impact for the community.”
