Marks the latest stage in the streaming platform's foray into professional soccer.

Sports live TV streaming platform fuboTV Inc. has expanded its footprint its footprint in the Canadian market after it was announced that it would become the exclusive home to the Premier League – the world-renowned English soccer league – for the next three years.

While the financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed, fuboTV will show all 380 of each season’s matches through to the 2024-2025 season.

Additionally, all content available for streaming will be shown on the platform’s linear channel, Fubo Sports Network.

This marks a milestone for fuboTV and the Premier League. The soccer league has a large fanbase in Canada, a commonwealth nation which maintains unique ties with its mother country, Great Britain.

These sentiments were echoed in comments from David Gandler, Co-Founder and CEO of fuboTV: “The Premier League is considered to be the best soccer league in the world and has a huge base in Canada.

“This deal allows us to bring yet another top-notch property to fuboTV, further differentiating our content offering, and giving Canadians another reason to cut the cord for exciting, exclusive sports content.”

Chief Media Officer at the Premier League, Paul Molnar, offered similar comments: “The Premier League is very happy to partner with fuboTV in Canada. We know there are many passionate Premier League fans in Canada and we are very pleased that fuboTV views the Premier League as such an important part of its programming mix in this market.

“We look forward to working together to bring the excitement of the Premier League to both new and existing fans.”

This deal with the Premier League is not fuboTV’s first foray into the world of professional soccer. Just a few months ago, the group acquired the Canadian rights for Italian Serie A and Coppa Italia, and they have the US streaming rights to the South American Football Confederation’s qualifying matches in the lead-up to the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
