The partnership is the first of its kind between an MLS club and a casino-entertainment company.
D.C. United will wear a Caesars logo on their uniforms and promote the company throughout Audi Field.
Jason Levien, D.C. United Co-Chairman, said: “We are extremely excited to announce this partnership with Caesars Entertainment, who are truly best-in-class in their field. Partnering with Caesars provides us with a great opportunity to realize the dream of Audi Field being a year-round hub of entertainment and activity and is another strong indication that global brands continue to see value in partnering with our organization.”
As part of the deal, Caesars will be featured in promotional giveaways, LED signage, special match moments, and has the option to host events in the stadium.
D.C. United and Caesars have previously held talks discussing opening a sportsbook at Audi Field.
Chris Holdren, CMO for Caesars Entertainment, said: “Caesars Entertainment has been a world-wide leader in entertainment for many years, but now, including this new landmark partnership with D.C. United, we have quickly become a leader in the world of sports.”
The XFL’s DC Defenders also compete at Audi Field.
