BetMGM will be continuing its partnership with the PGA Tour after a three-year extension was announced. The marketing and content-sharing relationship will now be continuing until 2024.
BetMGM’s role in the partnership will be to provide odds to bettors across Tour digital platforms, including PGATour.com and the TOURCAst platform, where fans are able to follow every ball hit on the tour in a 3D, multi-angle rendering.
The gaming operator will also have the right to use PGA Tour marks, advertize on its platforms, and have content and video rights that will allow it to create pre- and post-game programming.
BetMGM already has an existing relationship with several PGA Tour Players, including Max Homa, Jimmy Walker, Kevin Na, Pat Perez, Ryan Moore, Joel Dahmen, and Jason Kokrak.
The PGA Tour welcomed the further development of its partnership with BetMGM. According to Norb Gambuzza, Senior Vice President, Media and Gaming: “Over the years, BetMGM has been a strong supporter of gold through sponsorship of various PGA Tour players and tournaments. We are excited to continue the relationship.”
Matt Prevost, BetMGM’s Chief Revenue Officer, struck a similar tone: “The PGA Tour has been a fantastic partner and we look forward to continuing our relationship. In the last year we’ve seen an increase in our players betting on golf and are excited to now be the exclusive odds provider for PGATour.com.”
In recent years, the PGA Tour has been promoting its viability as a participant in the world of gambling. Among its previous forays have been a collaboration with Genius Sports and a partnership with IMG ARENA.
