Cooperation to better address issues surrounding problem gambling.

SCCG Management and Better Change have announced that they will be entering a partnership together. The announcement was made by Stephen Crystal, CEO of SCCG, who stressed the progress Better Change has made in reducing problem gambling.

In a statement, SCCG Management enumerated the benefits that Better Change offers the problem gambler: the issue, they say, is more effectively addressed by leveraging operators’ infrastructure, better scripting messages for operators and regulators, and developing intervention strategies that more accurately address the problem gambler.

The partnership is in keeping with the mission of SCCG Management, a consultancy that works in many aspects of the industry including sports betting, marketing, iGaming, esports, intellectual properties, M&A, casino managements, and issues surrounding legality and governance.

By way of explanation, Crystal said: “The regulated gaming industry has always been at the forefront of the implementation of tools and programs to improve education and awareness, reduce risk, and provide support where problem gaming exists.”

He goes on, “Operators understand that this mission is essential to the long-term health of the industry we have spent decades building. We believe that companies like Better Change are a natural part of the evolution and improvement of our approaches to problem gambling and mitigating social risk.”

Better Change has a similar take on the responsibility industry insiders play to keep problem gambling at a minimum. As group founder Victoria Reed said, “Player protection is fast becoming the heart of the gaming industry and everyone at Better Change has seen first-hand the devastation that is caused by gambling addiction.”
