DraftKings has agreed to a partnership with Alation Data Catalog, a company that specializes in providing efficient data discovery and knowledge-sharing.
Alation will assist DraftKings analysts in finding and interpreting data that will be used to
improve its customer experience and sports betting products.
DraftKings President of Global Technology and Product Paul Liberman said: “Data is the
lifeblood of our organization. We use Alation to better understand our data, improve onboarding of new employees, and empower our teams with critical insights to build better products and features for our customers.”
DraftKings, which announced last month that it will go public by merging with
Diamond Eagle Acquisition Corp. and SBTech, has expanded its sportsbook into New Hampshire, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Indiana in recent months.
Alation is based in Silicon Valley and works with more than 150 organizations including eBay and Exlelon.
Alation CEO Satyen Sangani said: “DraftKings is the perfect example of an agile organization that is embracing a data culture by increasing collaboration and data access, and driving trust in data. We are excited that Alation can play an important role in DraftKings’ success and in consumers’ enjoyment of their products.”
According to Alation’s website, its Data Catalog service uses an automated inventory to collect an organization’s data and indexes all data knowledge.
