Kambi technology to arrive in casinos before expanding to online services next year.

Kambi Group, the B2B sports betting platform, has signed a multi-year deal with Desert Diamond Casinos – a business belonging to the Tohono O’odham Nation – to provide online and on-property sportsbook services at two of its casinos in Arizona. A mobile sportsbook, though still in development phase, is expected to follow.

The deal stipulates that Kambi provide the full range of its sports betting technology, including the Kambi kiosk and Bring Your Own Device. It will first be introduced on-property in the operator’s West Valley, Suharita location, followed by Tucson, Arizona in Q4, before being launched in its online format.

Desert Diamond Casino is the largest operator in Arizona. The Tohono O’odham Nation was one of 10 tribes to receive a gambling license last August from the Arizona Department of Gaming to offer sports betting in the state.

“We are very proud to partner with Desert Diamond Casinos & Entertainment,” said Kristen Nylén, Kambi CEO. “Desert Diamond Casinos is renowned for offering world-class gaming and entertainment experiences and complements Kambi’s strategy to partner with market leaders.

“We look forward to working with them closely to deliver high-quality and exciting sports betting experiences to both its on-property patrons and online customers in the state of Arizona.”

Mike Bean, CEO of Desert Diamond Casinos & Entertainment, was similarly upbeat about the deal. “We are delighted to sign this multi-year agreement with Kambi, which has a proven track record in sportsbook provision across the globe.

“This exciting partnership provides Desert Diamond with the ability to leverage its long standing, well-regarded brand to provide our guests with a leading sports betting product across multiple channels.”
