Rose, the legendary Cincinnati Reds player and manager, will place the first bet at the casino.

Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati will host a grand opening Friday Oct. 29 featuring celebrities Pete Rose, Reds catcher Tucker Barnhart, singer Drew Lachey and band Earth Wind, and Fire.

The grand reopening comes more than years after Jack Entertainment sold the former Jack Cincinnati Casino to VICI Properties and Hard Rock for a total of $745m in cash.

VICI paid $558m to assume ownership of the casino’s land and real estate assets, while Hard Rock purchased the property’s operating assets for $187m.

Hard Rock will hold its signature Guitar Smash Friday at 11:00 a.m. local time. Among the other notable attendees will be Emmy-nominated jazz entertainer Kathy Wade, members of the Seminole Tribe of Florida and Hard Rock executives.

Rose, the all-time hits leader in MLB history, will autograph a specially made guitar for the casino’s memorabilia collection.

Earth, Wind and Fire will cap off the grand opening with a performance at 8:00 p.m.

“We know our grand opening will be a big hit with the Hit King Pete Rose and Earth, Wind and Fire here to celebrate with our guests,” said George Goldhoff, president of Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati. “The Hard Rock Casino brand is globally recognized as a leader in gaming and entertainment. We know our guests will be delighted with our new restaurant, retail, and gaming experiences.”
