The product releases on October 20, 2021, via the official Spurs mobile app.

Bet365 and the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs have partnered to launch an official free-to-play game titled Call Your Shot. The product is set to allow players to win prizes and exclusive NBA-related experiences.

Concurrently, the partnership will see Bet365 integrated into the basketball franchise’s advertising and TV-visible signage during Spurs’ home games. This marks the sports betting groups first deal with an NBA team.

“Finding groundbreaking and exciting ways to engage with our fans has long been a priority for our organization,” said Frank Miceli, chief revenue officer for San Antonio Spurs.

“Our partnership with bet365 is part of our vision to provide innovative and memorable experiences for Spurs fans everywhere.”

Per the terms of the partnership, Call Your Shot will launch on October 20, 2021, ready for the 2021-22 NBA season. The free-to-play game will be available via the team’s official Spurs mobile app.

According to the NBA franchise, the product aims to provide fans with a multi-dimensional gaming experience, allowing the team to engage with its supporters in a new way.

Sports betting is currently unregulated in the state of Texas. With that in mind, Bet365’s game will allow players to utilize app-based credits rather than real money. These credits can be earned through winning the game, the more credits players have the more likely they will be to win the platform’s prizes.

Winnings include courtside seats, tickets for the box, autographed items, and jerseys.

Despite sports betting being illegal in Texas, yesterday saw the Supreme Court make a decision that could pave the way for gaming to enter the Lone-Star state. The Court will address a dispute between El-Paso’s Tigua Tribe and the state of Texas that has banned gambling on tribal land for over 30-years.

Bet365 is based in England and currently allows betting on 600,000 sporting events annually, streaming to 63 million people.
