The platform first launched this year.

Fubo Gaming, the sports and entertainment subsidiary of the streaming service FuboTV, has today announced a long-term partnership with the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers.

This agreement, which marks Fubo Gaming’s first foray into the NBA, will see the Basketball team promote the gaming platform through an integrated marketing campaign.

Specifically, broadcast-visible signage, a presence on team television and radio programming as well as featuring on the Cavaliers’ social platforms will come together to promote the platform.

“We couldn’t be more excited to align our Cavaliers brand with Fubo Gaming, a company that shares a mutual passion for innovation and as we like to say, who are ‘obsessed with finding a better way’ in such a new and rapidly-evolving sports gaming category,” commented Shelly Cayette, Cleveland Cavaliers senior vice president, global partnerships.

“We are proud to team up with Fubo Gaming and help bolster their brand presence across the greater Cleveland region, all over Ohio, and with our fanbase for many years to come.”

Furthermore, Fubo Gaming will become the presenting partner of Cavs Pick’ Em, a free-to-play live predictive gaming platform that launched last year.

Per the agreement and from the beginning of the 2021-22 NBA season, Fubo Gaming branding will be featured prominently inside the bowl of the Cavaliers home stadium, the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

“We’re thrilled to have our first NBA team partnership with the Cleveland Cavaliers, an innovative sports franchise known to have one of the most passionate fan bases in the league,” said Scott Butera, president of Fubo Gaming. “This partnership is a natural extension of our overall goal to deliver sports fans dynamic and engaging experiences with the teams and sports they love.”

Fubo Gaming launched this year and is based in Chicago, its sports betting vertical, Fubo Sportsbook is expected to become operational in Q4 of 2021. Currently, the sports betting platform is licensed to operate in Arizona via the Ak-Chin Indian Community, Iowa via Casino Queen, Pennsylvania and Indiana via The Cordish Company, and New Jersey via Caesars Entertainment.
