Betfred Sports partners with Paragon Casino Resort for Louisiana launch
Betfred will bring sports betting to the Central Louisiana casino beginning Wednesday, Oct. 6.
Betfred Sports has partnered with Paragon Casino Resort to bring sports betting to Louisiana, marking the operator’s fourth market entry in the U.S.
Sports betting will launch at Paragon’s The Draft Room at 3:00 p.m. CST Wednesday, Oct. 6.
Paragon is located in Marksville, Louisiana and offers a 64,000-foot gaming floor, 1,000 Las Vegas-style slot machines and 500 hotel rooms.
“Our partnership with Betfred Sports marks a new chapter for Paragon – which has always been a source of pride for Marksville and the people of Louisiana,” General Manager of Paragon Casino Resort, Marshall Sampson, Sr., said. “With this new partnership, I hope visitors from across the region will have the chance to experience it for themselves. Together, we are offering a first-class sports betting platform and venue that will make Paragon Casino Resort the place to bet and watch games in Louisiana.”
The Draft Room is a traditional sportsbook with theater seating, a custom video wall, betting counters and kiosks.
The facility will offer bettors a variety of food and beverages and an array of viewing options. The Draft Room features 112 TVs plus three VIP fan caves for private gatherings.

Residents in 55 of Louisiana’s 64 parishes voted to legalize sports betting last November.
The state’s sports betting launch was delayed this fall by Hurricane Ida, which limited the Louisiana State Police Gaming Enforcement Division’s ability to approve license applications.
