The partnership announcement coincides with AGA’s Responsible Gaming Education Week

The American Gaming Association (AGA) has named MGM Resorts and BetMGM as official partners of its Have A Game Plan mission, which aims to promote responsible sports wagering.

This week is AGA’s Responsible Gaming Education Week, where the industry comes together to express its commitment to responsible gaming.

AGA’s Have A Game Plan promotes four key principals: Set a budget and stick to it; keep it social by playing with friends, family and colleagues; be informed by learning the details of the games; and play with licensed and regulated operators.

MGM Resorts and BetMGM incorporate responsible gaming through GameSense, a program licensed to MGM Resorts by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation.

According to MGM Resorts, GameSense focuses on positive, transparent and proactive conversations with players about how to gamble responsibly. The program is accessible through personal interactions between guests and trained staff based at each property's M life Rewards desk.

Garrett Farnes, Responsible Gaming Compliance Manager, MGM Resorts, said, "This partnership complements our ongoing commitment to GameSense. GameSense has been an instrumental part of the MGM Resorts guest service model since 2017, helping customers understand the risks, where to get help and ultimately, how to keep gaming fun."

MGM Resorts and BetMGM have committed to promoting responsible gaming education throughout the year by providing customers with useful information, tools and resources on their apps and websites.

"We are proud to become a partner of such an important initiative for the industry," said Richard Taylor, Responsible Gambling Program Manager, BetMGM. "Through GameSense, we are committed to doing our part in creating a fun and safe experience for customers."
