Launch of mobile sports betting app expands BetMGM’s presence in Southeast.

BetMGM has launched its mobile sports betting app at Gold Strike Casino Resort in Tunica, Mississippi.

The app is accessible to guests on-premise at Gold Strike to place pre-game, live in-play, futures and parlay wagers from any mobile device. Mississippi’s sports betting rules limit mobile wagering to on-premise at casinos.

“We’ve had great success with the opening of the BetMGM Book Bar & Grill at Gold Strike and are thrilled to complement our retail offering with the launch of the BetMGM mobile app in Mississippi,” said BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt. “Sports fans at MGM’s world-class Tunica resort can now use their mobile devices to engage with the teams they love, while earning rewards for their gameplay.”

Gold Strike is located along the Mississippi River near the Tennessee/Mississippi border. The casino is approximately a 40 minute drive from Memphis and many of its guests are Tennessee residents.

By launching a mobile app at Gold Strike, BetMGM is strengthening its presence in the southeast region, where it already operates in Tennessee’s exclusively mobile market.

MGM Southeast Region Senior Vice President of Marketing and Operations Brandon Dardeau said, “Sports fans now have a seamless betting experience. Tennessee users who have become accustomed to using BetMGM can use it on property at Gold Strike. Not only does the BetMGM app allow for in-game betting, but bets can also be conveniently placed from anywhere on the casino floor including BetMGM Book Bar & Grill.”

Gold Strike features a 31-story resort with more than 1,100 rooms and suites as well as a 50,000-square-foot gaming area that includes more than 1,100 slots and 60 table games.
