Industry vet will oversee operator's strategic business plans.

Operator and developer Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment (MGE) has today announced the appointment of its new chief operating officer, Jody Madigan (pictured), who will be tasked with the development and execution of short- and long-term strategic business plans across all MGE properties.

Previously, Madigan served as the general manager of the Paragon Casino and Resort in Marksville, Louisiana. Here, he successfully tripled the property's EBITDA, opened its first sportsbook and the first in Louisiana. Madigan has also served as the vice president of strategic execution and business development for Seneca Gaming, and spent two years as the president and general manager for Casino Miami, a Silver Entertainment property.

At MGE as COO, Madigan will report to CEO and president Ray Pineault and will lead the development and implementation of the organization's competitive positioning plans. He will also be tasked with ensuring marketing and operational plans to drive profitability, as well as lead the general managers at MGE properties to ensure that all strategic planning is in alignment with the executive leadership group and the Mohegan Tribe.

“We are pleased to welcome Jody Madigan to our executive leadership team to ensure business strategy alignment and continuity across all of our properties,” said Pineault. “With more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality and casino gaming industry, Jody’s leadership and expertise will contribute to MGE’s continued growth and success.”

MGE operates throughout North America with properties in Connecticut, New Jersey, Washington and Pennsylvania, as well as locations in Canada and Las Vegas.  The company also recently announced Christie St. Martin as its new vice president of online marketing. She will spearhead MGE’s igaming marketing strategy.
