Fubo Sportsbook is on track to launch in the Grand Canyon state in fourth quarter 2021. Fubo was granted market access to Arizona through a partnership with the Ak-Chin Indian Community.
“The license award in Arizona is an important strategic step as we aim to bring our integrated Fubo Sportsbook to the passionate sports fans of Arizona,” said Scott Butera, president, Fubo Gaming. “I’d like to thank our partners at the Ak-Chin Indian Community, who are leaders in the Arizona gaming community, for helping us achieve this milestone today.
“With the forthcoming launch of Fubo Sportsbook, we look forward to providing a seamless user experience that allows fans to wager while they watch their favorite sports. We believe Fubo Sportsbook will add another exciting layer to the sports entertainment experience - one that will bring increased interaction and engagement between sports viewing and betting.”
A subsidiary of TV streaming platform fuboTV, Fubo Gaming intends to combine data from both its betting and streaming services. Fubo Gaming will use first-party user behavior data to understand customers’ viewing preferences and recommend relevant bets and in doing turn passive viewers into engaged bettors.
Arizona marks Fubo Gaming’s second license approval this week. As Gaming America previously reported, the company received approval Tuesday from the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission to offer advance deposit sports wagering within the state through a market access agreement with Casino Queen.
Fubo Gaming additionally has market access agreements in Pennsylvania with The Cordish Companies and in Indiana and New Jersey via Caesars Entertainment.
