Scientific Games (SG) and the Pascua Yaqui Tribe of Tucson, AZ, have today announced a partnership that will see SG deploy is OpenSports platform at the Tribe’s Casino Del Sol properties.
Dubbed SolSports, it will be the enterprise's first sportsbook.
Per the agreement, players will be able to wager on sporting events at a retail sportsbook on site at Casino Del Sol, as well as self-service sports betting kiosks located throughout the casino and at its sister property, Casino of the Sun.
“In launching our first sportsbook, we partnered with Scientific Games due to their technical expertise,” said Kimberly Van Amburg, CEO of Casino Del Sol. “The OpenSports solution is a robust and scalable platform that can withstand all the pressures associated with major sporting events, while providing customers with an extensive range of markets. We are confident our guests will enjoy the new SolSports sportsbook and we can’t wait to go live later this year.”
This agreement marks Scientific Games first steps into the Arizona sports betting market since its legalization in April 2021. As part of the OpenSports platform, the Pascua Yaqui owned properties will also again access to OpenTrade, SG’s full risk and liability management service.
“Casino Del Sol and Casino of the Sun have both worked tirelessly to become leading casinos in Arizona and we are sure this new partnership can go from strength to strength in the newly regulated state,” commented Cathryn Lai, SVP & GM US, digital, at Scientific Games. “We believe Arizona’s sports betting market will grow rapidly in size and we look forward to providing customers with a first-class offering.”
