Main Street Station, a Victorian themed casino in Las Vegas, has announced its reopening date. The Nevada property has been closed since March 2020 and according to operator Boyd Gaming, it will reopen its doors on September 8, at 6am.
Main Street Station features a 27,000-sqaure-foot casino as well as over 400 hotel rooms. This relaunch marks the first time it will open its doors since Governor Steve Sisolak ordered casinos to close during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“We are thrilled to announce the reopening of Main Street Station, and to welcome back our team members and guests who have been eagerly awaiting our return,” said Steve Thompson, Boyd Gaming executive vice president of operations.
September 8 will also see the property’s other attractions open. The Triple 7 Restaurant and Microbrewery will return Thursday through Monday from 5pm to midnight.
“We are counting the days until Sept. 8, when Boyd Gaming’s complete trifecta of Downtown Las Vegas properties – California (Hotel), Fremont and Main Street Station – will once again be fully open and ready to welcome our guests,” Thompson added.
Boyd Gaming recently announced its earnings for Q2 of 2021 and reported quarterly revenues of $893.6m, an improvement from 2020’s $209.9m.
In an earnings call regarding these results, Boyd president and CEO Keith Smith said, “Main Street’s future is all about Downtown business and the Hawaiian business returning, and Eastside will just depend on volumes.”
