Game On card was first launched in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

BlackHawk Network, the prepaid payment solutions developer, has announced the expansion of its Game On cards platform to Indiana and Colorado. Game On is a gift card platform that allows users to add funds to their sports betting accounts. The company works in partnership with a number of sportsbook brands.

Launching in 2020 and originally available in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, players can use the Game On card to wager with a number of sportsbooks including FanDuel, BetRivers, BetMGM and DraftKings.

"The popularity of online sports betting and gaming is on the rise, with the global sports market expected to grow by nearly a third in the next five years," said Richard Gotlieb, head of lottery and sports betting at Blackhawk Network.

In its statement, BlackHawk claimed that Game On hopes to allow players to share their love of sports betting with friends and family.

Gotlieb added: "Game On is a unique tool for funding for players and a great gifting option. We're thrilled about the expansion into two growing gaming markets in Colorado and Indiana, as well as plans for additional states in the near future."

Colorado and Indiana legalized sports wagering in 2020 and 2019 respectively, and were two of the earliest adopters in the US. As of August 2021, PlayIndiana puts the total sports betting handle for the state since launch at $3.8bn with revenue at $317m. Meanwhile, PlayColorado places the state’s total sports betting handle at $2.8bn and its total revenue at $182.2m.
