BetMGM, Cheddar News to develop sports betting business show

The weekly segment will study the intersection of sports betting and financial markets.

BetMGM has today announced a partnership with digital-first news network Cheddar News to launch a segment with a focus on sports betting and its relation to financial markets.

Titled “Cheddar Bets,” the program will run weekly.

The show will air every Thursday at 4:30pm ET on the Cheddar News platform and will broadcast from the newly built BetMGM studio in New York. The news segment will aim to examine the weekly sporting events through the lens of sports betting and Wall Street.

BetMGM’s app is available for IOS and Android, the online and land-based sportsbook has exclusive access to all of MGM’s betting platforms. Founded in 2018, the sportsbook is based in New Jersey. The company recently agreed a partnership with NFL legend Marshawn Lynch, which saw the former running back become a brand ambassador for the organization.

Cheddar News is a digital news platform found on Hulu, YouTube TV, Pluto, Samsung TV+ and other services. The company focuses on stories involving tech, innovation, business politics, media and entertainment.
