Distribution deal is facilitated by Scientific Games Digital.

Australian slot, online and social casino developer Lightning Box has entered West Virginia through a partnership with SG Digital. The launch will include some of the developer’s most popular games.

The games launching in West Virginia include Chicken Fox and Lightning Horseman.

The company first launched its slot offering to US audiences in New Jersey via a partnership with Amaya in 2014.

Since its first entrance into the US market, the company has launched in Pennsylvania in November 2020 and Michigan in January 2021. The Michigan launch was facilitated by TwinSpires, a sportsbook and casino owned by Churchill Downs.

Steve Mayes, partnerships director, digital at Scientific Games, said: “After successful launches across the US we are delighted to expand our content offering in West Virginia and bring our immersive experiences to players and further enhance our incredibly strong partnership with Lightning Box. Our games have been very popular among American players in the land-based and social casino industries, and I’m pleased more of them are now getting to experience them in online too.”

Peter Causley, CEO and co-founder of Lightning Box added: “West Virginia holds a number of significant opportunities to Lightning Box given the number of established operators in the state and we’re looking forward to partnering with them via SG Digital.”

The studio has also recently furthered its online presence in Latin America by releasing two of its titles in Colombia via Betsson, Blown Away and Dragon Palace.
