The agreement with the Argentine soccer club runs until 2025.

Codere, a Spanish gaming company operating in Europe and Latin America, has today announced an official partnership with Argentinean soccer club Atlético River Plate. The gaming company will become the team’s official betting partner until August 2025.

Codere’s logo will appear on the soccer team's shirt sleeve from the upcoming season, beginning later this summer.

The gaming company has been active in Argentina since the early 1990s and currently operates as the largest gaming organization in Buenos Aires, with 13 properties and 6,800 casino slots. The agreement with River Plate acts as part of the company’s commitment to Latin American expansion.

Codere currently has a similar betting partnership with the Monterrey Rayados Football Club in Mexico. In June 2021, the betting company reached a merger agreement of its online gaming subsidiary with the SPAC DD3 Acquisition Corp.

“This agreement allows us to reach the Argentine and Latin American public in the best and most direct way possible, providing our current and future customers the best brand experience,“ said Carlos Sabanza Cenzano, Codere’s sponsorship manager. “This alliance, with one of the most important football teams in the country, allows us to enhance our positioning as a leading online sports betting and omni-channel entertainment provider in this key market.”

Jorge Brito, first vice-chairman of River Plate Club said, “It is a pleasure to have Codere as a sponsor, a company with a wide experience, global reach and with great growth in the region, which will help us both to continue consolidating our growth, share the same commitment, effort and fair play values.”

River Plate is the biggest soccer club in Argentina, with 18 million fans. The team has won 36 national titles and 12 international trophies.
