Agua Caliente Casinos to implement IGT cashless payment technology

The casino operator will fully integrate IGT Advantage turnkey solution.

Aqua Caliente Casinos in California today announced that its properties will begin the full integration of International Game Technology’s (IGT) cashless payment solution. The casino operator will begin to use both IGTPay and Resort Wallet.  

The technology will become available at all three Aqua properties throughout California, including its locations in Palm Springs, Cathedral City and Rancho Mirage.  

When used in tandem, Resort Wallet and IGTPay allow patrons to access funds from mobile devices. Money can be added to accounts through credit and debit cards, bank accounts and other eWallets. The aim is reduce the amount of contact with cash that occurs within Agua properties.  

“IGT's innovative Resort Wallet cashless solution with IGTPay technology, offered to patrons through Agua Caliente's Play Agua app, will help us deliver on our commitment to providing enhanced safety through reduced contact, and offering a more convenient gaming experience," said Bill Oliver, chief information officer, Agua Caliente Casinos. "We're proud to be at the forefront of global gaming technological innovation with this new service, and are excited to leverage Resort Wallet and IGTPay to power the industry's most seamless loyalty program." 
IGT’s technology will be implemented across all Aqua Caliente Casinos in 2021 and will support the use of both card-based payments and contactless options. Players can also transfer funds between slot machines on site.
