Sportsbook named official betting operator of The Northern Trust and World Golf Championships.

PGA officials announced today that DraftKings will become the official sportsbook of the World Golf Championships St. Jude invitational, taking place from August 2-8 at TPC Southwind, TN, and August 18-22 at the Liberty National Golf Club, NJ.

The agreement expands DraftKings’ existing relationship with the PGA Tour. The sportsbook has an existing partnership with the golf organization that will see the launch of a retail sportsbook located at TPC Scottsdale. The PGA Tour also features on DraftKings’ daily fantasy sports betting platform.

Per the agreement, DraftKings will have hospitality suites, named DraftKings house, at both events. To gain entrance, visitors can purchase daily grounds tickets, which start at $30 for Wednesday, $60 for Thursday and Friday, and $70 for Saturday and Sunday.

“With the existing relationship between DraftKings and the PGA Tour, integrating them into the Memphis market at the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational was an easy decision,” said PGA executive director Darrell Smith. We’re excited to be one of the first PGA Tour events to offer a public venue setting in this category. This sponsorship adds another on-site experience that caters to a variety of fans and we look forward to debuting it as we welcome the world’s best golfers return back to Memphis.”

Ezra Kucharz, chief business officer at DraftKings added: “DraftKings is proud to evolve and expand our presence into the golf space by continuing to build upon the existing relationship with the PGA Tour. We look forward to providing fans an unparalleled experience at Liberty National and TPC Southwind.”

The agreement also sees DraftKings host the first Fantasy Golf World Championship at a PGA Tour event. This will see 40 of the top daily fantasy players compete for a $4m prize.
