IMPACT, a content and data production system owned by Betegy, has revealed plans to continue the company's growth in the US sports betting market through a partnership with DDSports and their data service ShotTracker.
IMPACT’s proprietary content will expand the agreement that will see ShotTracker used in NCAA basketball broadcasts.
ShotTracker is a technology that tracks player performance and stats during live games. Grounded in IMPACT’s rendering engine, the agreement will allow ShotTracker’s numbers to be presented clearly and ready to broadcast content. To do this, IMPACT implements machine learning in order to turn numbers into appealing graphs, animations and texts.
“ShotTracker and IMPACT provide an ideal combination. Our partnership, which has grown thanks to our successful and well-received Mountain West collaboration, opens new pathways for more immersive sports content on any platform,” said IMPACT and Betegy CEO Alex Kornilov. “By matching real time, sub-second data from ShotTracker and our visualization engine, we entertain fans with advanced contextual stats, bringing them even more deeply into the experience.”
ShotTracker co-founder and president Davyeon Ross, added: “ShotTracker’s open APIs allow our partners to take our data and deliver engaging content to a growing audience of consumers and media customers. This partnership with IMPACT will help us expand access to our data to even more media platforms, not just in the US but around the world. This is a great way for us to grow our reach at a time when engagement in data content is at a premium for consumers, media companies and broadcasters.”
The results of this new partnership were already displayed prior to its announcement, with the platform being implemented for the 2021 NCCA Mountain West Tournament in Las Vegas.
