Company has been granted a sports wagering interim supplier license.

VegasWINNERS, a subsidiary of Winners Inc, and provider sports betting content, analysis, data and research, has this week announced that the West Virginia Lottery has granted the company permission to begin working in the region.

This comes in the form of a Sports Wagering Interim Supplier License. The license allows VegasWINNERS to refer sports betting customers throughout West Virginia to licensed sports books in return for commission payments.

Sports betting’s total handle in West Virginia almost doubled from 2019 to 2020, increasing by 84% from $226m to $419m.

“West Virginians are known as rabid basketball and football fans. Now that they can place legal wagers on sports, I’m certain West Virginia will become among the leading states for sports gaming,” said VegasWINNERS CEO, Wayne Allyn Root.

The state first launched regulated sports betting in March 2018, and since then, the Mountain States total handle is over $878m.

VegasWINNERS is a licensed sports gaming affiliate that currently operates in a number of states throughout the country, with applications to operate in several others.

The company hopes to become available in every state that has a regulated online sports gaming market.
