The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has approved fines totaling $120,000 for two of the state’s casinos.

Downs Racing, operator of Mohegan Sun Pocono, will receive a $110,000 fine for underage gambling violations.

The fine stems from four incidents in which under-age individuals were able to access the gaming floor and wager on table games and slot machines.

In one incident, a 19-year-old was able to access the gaming floor on seven consecutive days after being issued a player card.

The under-age player was served alcohol and was able to cash out after wagering.

Downs Racing was also fined $150,000 earlier this month for not meeting mandated minimum staffing levels at Mohegan Sun Pocono.

Washington Trotting Association, operator of the Meadows Racetrack and Casino, will receive a fine of $10,000 for allowing its employees to work with expired gaming licenses.

The fine concerns two incidents in which employees were permitted to work without authorization from the PGCB.

Mohegan Sun Pocono revenue was $17.7m for September 2019, a 7% decrease year-on-year, while Meadows Casino revenue was $17.2m, down 13%.

State-wide gaming revenue was $281.2m, an increase of 4%, with Parx Casino and Wind Creek Bethlehem generating the highest revenue of $53.6m and $41.1m respectively.
