Bally’s Corporation will expand into Kansas after agreeing to partner with Dodge City Boot Hill Casino & Resort.
Currently, the legislation designed to legalize sports betting in Kansas is pending. However, once the bill is enacted, Bally’s will work to implement Bally Bet and Bally’s mobile sportsbook through Boot Hill Casino.
As of now, all gambling and gaming in Kansas is operated by the Kansas lottery. So any agreement between Bally’s and Boot Hill would require by law the licensing or transfer of Bally’s sports betting to the lottery.
CEO of Boot Hill Casino and Resort, Clark Stewart, said on the deal: “This is an exciting time in Kansas gaming history, and as a manager for the Kansas Lottery, we are thrilled to embark on this pivotal endeavour with Bally’s.”
He added: “Bally’s has demonstrated impressive growth and has an outstanding operating track record. We are confident that bringing Bally’s diverse and interactive suite of online sports betting solutions to the Boot Hill Casino will significantly enhance the gaming experience for Kansas sports fans.”
President of Bally’s Corporation, George Papanier, also said: “We are extremely excited to work with Boot Hill Casino & Resort in Kansas. This relationship, which marks the 14th state in which customers can access our omni-channel platform, provides a significant opportunity for Bally’s to enter into yet another attractive mobile sports betting market.”
He added: “With the approval of pending sports betting legislation in the state, we can’t wait for Kansas sports fans to engage in our best-in-class online sports betting offerings.”
