Gullbrants departs Boston for Las Vegas in August, while Spiegel will retire from her position at the end of 2021.
Wynn CEO Matt Maddox wrote in a memo to employees, “I have been impressed with the strong team he has built around him — both executives and the dedicated and talented service team — and the results: (Encore Boston Harbor) is now experiencing its best financial performance since opening.” The memo was reported by the Boston Globe.
Spiegel will depart Wynn Las Vegas properties after three years serving as president. This was her second stint leading Wynn’s flagship US properties. She was previously President of Wynn Las Vegas properties form December 2010 to February 2013.
Her successor Gullbrants has strong familiarity with the Las Vegas market, having led the opening of Encore in 2008 as the casino’s Senior Vice President and General Manager. He was Executive Vice President and General Manager of Wynn Las Vegas properties from 2011 to 2017,
Gullbrants was the Executive Vice President of Operations for Encore Boston Harbor between May 2017 to October 2019, when he was promoted to President.
Before joining Wynn, Gullbrants spent 20 years in various executive positions at Ritz Carlton Hotel Company.
Gullbrants’ deputy at Encore Boston Harbor, Jenny Holaday, was appointed as the casino’s next President. She becomes the first female casino president in Massachusetts.
Maddox wrote of Holaday, “Her experience in gaming, marketing and strategic planning make her the perfect choice to move Encore forward.”
