Through the agreement, DraftKings will have access to NFL branding for its DFS products and will collaborate with the NFL on content and product offerings for its DFS app.
Although other North American major leagues have DFS partnerships already in place, DraftKings will be the NFL’s first DFS partner.
Jason Robins, DraftKings CEO, said: "This is a defining moment in the industry and we are thrilled to become the first DFS partner to enter into a formal relationship with the NFL.
"Throughout our discussions with the league, it was evident we share a common vision around the future of fan engagement; we are excited to continue on this unique journey."
Despite providing DraftKings with exclusive sponsorship rights for DFS, the deal will not include any promotional rights for sports betting.
The NFL does not have an official sports betting partner in the US, but signed a deal with Tabcorp earlier this month for official partnership in the Australian market.
DraftKings became MLB’s sports betting partner earlier this year in a multi-year deal.
