RedZone Co-Founder: "Less is more" for sportsbooks offering NFL markets

Ahead of the new NFL season in September, RedZone’s Co-Founder and Trading Director explains why "less is more" for operators

Stephen Baumohl believes operators should offer a more focused user experience to bettors ahead of the new NFL season.

RedZone specializes in US sports and the company’s Co-Founder and Trading Director values "quality over quantity" when it comes to the markets players are interested in.

Offering a wider selection may therefore be counterproductive going into the new campaign, in his opinion.

That’s why RedZone will focus on removing "clutter" and giving NFL bettors what they want through quicker and more efficient means.

"Less is more," Baumohl tells Gaming America. "Looking at the breakdown of bets by market, it is clear the majority of action is concentrated around certain market types and the idea of having as many markets as possible might actually be counterproductive to user experience.

"We are going to offer more quality over quantity by increasing the amount of popular markets such as player props and removing a lot of clutter.

"We want to make sure the markets people want to bet on are there in abundance and easy to find."
